1. I learned a lot from my first literatur review draft. I should keep the review more to the topic and make sure I discuss more around the sources I have, not what I know from earlier. I have to be better at adress the reader more too. Even though this sometimes can be hard, I think if I write more about the topic and norrow it down, it will be easier to read and that I have to discuss the sources more then

2. When I write a literatur review paper I will be able to understand my sources more and gather them together. This makes it easier to both more orgenized because I filter out the fact I don't need and I have everything in one place. When I write a paper about my sources I automatically learn my material too, so I don't have to look up the sources all the time when I'm writing the final paper.

3. I learned a lot about my paper and I learned a lot about what was wrong about my topic and how difficult it could be to find sources.

4. I think the literature review will really help me out with work I will do later and my paper will be better because of this. The peer-review helps too

Art of Quoting

This article made me understand how to write an essay and other kind of text and how to write quotes. I have never been taught this in school; therefore most of it was interesting and useful for me. The author writes: “Quoting someone else’s words gives a tremendous amount of credibility to your summary and helps ensure that it is fair and accurate”. Actually I have always thought it was better to retell what the author says, but now I know better.

It helped me to know how to present and explain the quotes with the example in the article. It has several of examples that I can and will use in assignments that are coming up.

Research Project

I think my audience will be an ordinary person that is interested in how the world ended up in those problems that were so anticipated. I will focus more on why the politicians did not do anything about it before it was a serious issue. I hope to find out, at least brainstorm, around why these politicians did not higher taxes etc. before it was too late. To get to this point I will try to find personal opinions on how the they people did not want to do anything about the dept and why people thought they should do anything about it. Was it just a wild guess?

Research Question

I think my research question are questions that will raise more questions during the time I am working with it. During the project I know that it will be nessasary to narrow it down, but I will try to brainstorm some more to see if I want to narrow it down to people's behavior or the financial aspect of it.

Research

I think I will do some research about the financial problems we are facing now and how this can and maybe will affect our everyday life. My research question will be:
1. Over many years countries (i.e. Greece) have spent more then they have earned. How did we get into these problems when we knew the risk?
2. What are the biggest risks for an ordinary person in his/her everyday life?
3. What can we learn out of all this?

This is maybe one of the biggest problems we are facing and it affects innocent people. This isn't a new problem and that is what I will try to discuss as well: how we get into problems that we can see coming?

Second Language

1.Marquez and his family speak Spanish when they are together because their family’s official language is Spanish. Marquez and his siblings have Spanish as their second language but they still want to keep their language because of the family values and their culture.  

If I were standing right next to this family while they are talking Spanish I would not consider that as rude because I would not automatically think they were talking about me. If I did find out that they were talking about me that would be considered rude. You should not use the language that no one understands to use it in your advantage. As long as they talk about their own lives, it is okay.

4.Marquez should not speak Spanish when he is with someone who does not understand the language. However, if he is in front of a cashier, salesman, taxi driver, etc. and these people are not in the conversation with him, then it is ok to speak Spanish in front of them.

I am bilingual and I try to behave the same way, but it is not always that easy. When you have a big advantage of talking another language it is often hard to switch over to English when you are just asking simple questions. Still, those simple questions are completely incomprehensible for the native English speakers.

This text is easy to read and short. It is easy, I think, because it has many examples that make the arguments stronger. The way the author is straightforward with the whole text as well as the examples. It is easy to pay attention and the fact that it is short motivates me to read it as well.

I love this kind of writing because it is so casual. When the writing is casual it is easier to use humor and examples, which makes the text interesting and funny.
